The awards have just been announced for the 2023 Nature’s Best Photography competition, and happy to report the only photograph I entered this year (I don’t actually remember entering) has been Highly Honoured in the Polar Passion category. The photograph is one of my personal favourites from Gould Bay, deep in Antarctica – home to the world’s most southerly Emperor Penguin colony. You can see all the winners and highly honoured HERE.

The 2024 workshop to photograph Snowy Owls in Canada in Winter is now Sold out – thank you. Due to my ongoing workshop commitments, this will be the last planned workshop for Snowy Owls for the foreseeable future. In 2025 I have both a workshop to eastern Mongolia for Pallas Cat in Winter and northern Mongolia for Snow Leopard during the first part of the year (full details are on my website at www.jholko.com).
