Photograph of the Month March 2025 Arctic Fox Peek-a-Boo

The photograph of the month for March 2025 comes from my recent workshop for Arctic foxes to the Hornstrandir Nature reserve in the far north west of Iceland (Trip Reports are coming soon). This photograph of a female white-morph Arctic fox was taken at a new location I was scouting for the first time. This new location I will be returning to in 2026 for a first time workshop. What appeals to me about this photograph is the white on white of the fox against the snow, the curl and shape of the foxes tail and the single eye that makes the perfect emotional connection with the viewer. There is both a stillness and emotive quality to this photograph that speaks to not only the story of the wildlife in the snow, but incredible beauty of this fox.

WNPP Episode 115 Interview with Photographer Kevin Hall

I have just published episode 115 of my Wild Nature Photography Podcast. In this episode, we welcome our first podcast guest and talk with photographer Kevin Hall about his recent experiences photographing Arctic Foxes in the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve during our back-to-back workshops in Northern Iceland. Kevin shares his insights on his experience and his thoughts on the new Canon EOS R1 in an all-things-photography discussion.

Bird Photographer of the Year 2025 Finalist with Multiple Photographs

Very excited that for the third year in a row (and my third time entering), I have multiple photographs in the final round of judging of Bird Photographer of the Year. For 2025, four of the eight photographs I entered into the competition have been accepted into the final round of judging (same as 2024!). I cannot as yet share which photographs made the finals, but I will do so as soon as possible. In the meantime, please enjoy this photograph of the Atlantic Puffin, shot in Iceland during a scouting trip to Grimsey Island. This is just one of the incredible bird species to be found on my Ultimate Puffins workshop later this year.
