Asia / PacificPhotography Awards 2nd and 3rd Place 2025 Nature Category

The 2025 Asia / Pacific international photography awards are now run, won and done. This year I entered at the very last moment (I was on the fence about entering this year) as entries closed the day I was returning from my Arctic fox workshops in Iceland and I was juggling final trip logistics. Of the five photographs I entered into the Nature category all were highly commended or better with three of the five going onto the top twenty finalist photographs in the category. Two of those three then went on to take out Gold and both second and third place respectively in the category. The third took a Silver award. Given my indecision on entering this year I am extremely pleased with the final result – especially as the 2nd place photograph I shot only a couple of days before entering the awards.

White Horses of Camargue France 2025 Workshop Sold Out

Our October 2025 workshop for the white horses of Camargue in France is now Sold Out – thank you. This is a workshop that falls outside of our normal Polar speciality and is being offered by us as a one time opportunity to photograph these incredible horses in a small private group. With just five photographers we have keep this super exclusive to maximise the photographic experience for all. The importance of small group size cannot be underestimated on this type of photography workshop. Without having to jostle for position, or fight for the best location and backgrounds, our participants will enjoy the freedom to position themselves for the best shots. The final portfolios of photographs on these small group experiences speak volumes to the importance of small group size and one-on-one personal tuition. We are very much looking forward to photographing these amazing horses in France with our clients in October this year and hope to be sharing some daily video from the workshop experience here on the blog at the conclusion of the trip.

Australian Photography Magazine Behind the Shot Feature April 2025

The latest April / May 2025 issue of Australian Photography Magazine features a double page spread ‘Behind the Shot’ of one of my Arctic Fox photographs. This photograph was taken during one of my workshops to north western Iceland in Winter (2025 Report just published).

If you’re interested in joining us for this incredible experience, feel free to reach out to register your interest. With small group sizes, spaces fill quickly, and this remains one of the most sought-after wildlife photography experiences in Iceland.

Puffins and Razorbills Workshop Singe Place Availability June 2025

One of the two places that became available on my Puffins and Razorbills workshop on Grimsey Island, Iceland this June has been taken and we are now down to the very last place. The workshop will run from June 3rd until June 8th, 2025 and includes all accomodation and food on Grimsey Island as well as Ferry tickets, private vehicle transfers in Iceland and of course all in field tuition and instruction – plus of course amazing photographic experiences with Atlantic Puffins! Please get in touch if you would like to secure a place or would like additional information.

This bespoke, custom-tailored workshop to Grimsey Island, north of Iceland, is for keen and passionate wildlife photographers who want to capture dramatic and powerful photographs of Puffins, Razor Bills, and other Arctic birds. Grimsey Island is the best place in the world to photograph the Atlantic Puffin and Razor Bill under the midnight sun. We have a small group size and personal, one-on-one tuition for the duration of the workshop. There will also be landscape opportunities during this workshop, although our primary focus is Puffins and other birds such as Razorbills.
