The workshop will run from June 3rd until June 8th, 2026 and includes all accommodation and food on Grimsey Island as well as Ferry tickets, private vehicle transfers in Iceland and, of course, all in-field tuition and instruction – plus, of course, amazing photographic experiences with Atlantic Puffins! I have just published episode 136 of my Wild Nature Photography Podcast (long overdue). In this episode, I spend some time looking into what is coming up in 2026. Historically, I have done a very long blog post or podcast that is both a retrospective on the current year (the year that was) and a look forward into the new year. This year, I have decided to break it up into two more bite-sized chunks and have two separate podcasts. This episode looks ahead to 2026, with some thoughts on travel, equipment, and photography in general.

In other news, I was also appointed an Adobe Community Expert for both Lightroom and Photoshop this week. Which means I will now be on the Adobe community forums to answer Lightroom questions whenever I can. Feel free to PM me there if you have anything specific you want to ask.

The photograph of the month for December 2025 comes from one of my more recent expeditions to Greenland and is of a wonderfully sculptured iceberg under heavy skies. These are my absolute favourite conditions for photographing icebergs, and the Scoresby Sund region of Greenland (where this was taken) offers the best opportunities in the world for this kind of landscape photography. Processing these photographs is always somewhat of a challenge, requiring just the right amount of finesse to extract the right amount of detail in the highlights, whilst maintaining just the right tonalities across the entire range. This is the final photograph of the month for 2025 before we roll into 2026. If time permits, I may do a bit of a retrospective post on my selection of the year’s twelve best photographs.
